Changing Beginning Depreciation

Changing Beginning Depreciation

New postby user on Thu Feb 11, 2010 10:31 am

In 2009 I accidentally changed the BOOK life on some 2007 & 2008 assets - this resulted in depreciation not being calculated correctly (which our auditors picked up). After correcting the life on the affected assets, my ending depreciation from 2008 and my beginning depreciation for 2009 is off.

My ending depreciation for 2008 is $1,011,298.08 and the beginning depreciation for 2009 is $960,929.37 (difference = $50,368.71). Is there a way to manually change/manipulate the beginning depreciation for 2009?

Any help/advice/guidance is greatly appreciated.
